Most land advice hands you a beautiful drawing and a stack of contractor opinions that don't fit together. I do the part in between. My background is mechanical before it was ecological — diesel engines, emergency service, 15 years running crews — so my designs are sequenced, not just rendered. I know what it costs to move dirt, what fails in year three, and what a family can actually maintain once the excitement wears off. That's the exact method inside every course here. And I don't teach it from theory — I'm raising seven kids with my wife on a 20-acre off-grid farm in the Ozarks.
Co-headlined with Joel Salatin at the Stables Homestead Summit (~350 attendees). Shared the Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds' Spring Planting Festival stage with P. Allen Smith this past May — and was invited back to speak again in May 2027. Next up: the Ozark Homesteading Expo, Sept 4 at 4:00 PM.
"Your presentation was tremendous and so well received — a masterful presentation that made permaculture accessible to everyone. We look forward to having you back."
